6/28/2012 - Disney Vacation

Here are a bunch of pics from our Disney Vacation in Florida.  The kids had a great time.  On the way there when we started to see signs for Disney, Preston said "Were coming for you Disney".  It was really cute.  Jacob still isn't walking, but he is climbing like crazy.  He is getting onto beds, couches, etc.  Last night I had him on my moms bed (which is really high up), while I was putting on a movie for Emily.  I heard this Ugh (Grunt), turned around and Jacob had gotten off of the bed and was standing next to the bed.  So, now he knows how to get off of the bed now, so my short term babysitter is now a thing of the past.  Jacob did take a full step by himself though - he had let go of the wall, and took a step towards his toy.  Me, Preston, and Emily were all cheering him on.  So, Jacob started cheering too.  Yeah!!! (hands clapping).  It was really cute!

Jacob riding his very first ride!

Woody was awesome - Buzz was late in coming back out, so Woody had to entertain Preston for a while.  Preston had so much fun.  Woody was chasing him around the floor until Preston cut him off by running right in front of him.  Then Woody pretended to fall down and surrender.  It was really cute - Preston had a great time!

6/10/2012

I wasn't planning on posting until after next week, but these pics were cute so had to share.

Since Jacob has a molar coming in he had a few rough days were he had a fever and was in constant pain.  So, he was sleeping with mommy on those days.  Emily came in bright and early one of those mornings and decided to wake up Jacob while I was getting ready.  So, I turned on an Elmo clip from YouTube they could watch together on my phone, so I could finish getting ready.  This is them watching Elmo on my phone - bed head and all!

It was very rainy all day today, so the kids weren't able to go outside and play.  Decided to let them play in the rain for a little bit (well at least until we heard the Thunder - than made them come back in).  They were having so much fun running and playing in the rain puddles.  They got so soaked!!

6/7/2012

Been almost a month since my last post. A lot has happened since then.

2. Emily had her first ballet recital. She was so cute up there on stage in her little costumes. The first song (the ballet one) she spent half of the song just staring at the sun that was the background for the song. She started to move around the second half of the song. The danced better to the tap routine - I think she liked that song better. She especially liked it when they got the part where they had to wiggle their little booties.

2 - Dean left for his first deployment. The kids were very sad to see their daddy go. We put up a map in the house that the kids can look at to see where their daddy is whenever they want to. So, that seems to be helping some. Dean has been calling as often as he can, but we don't get to hear from him everyday, so that stinks. Emily got to talk to her daddy the other day, so that was nice. Preston wasn't in the room so he missed the chance to talk, but will make sure he gets to talk the next time Dean is able to call.

#3 - Took Jacob to see Elmo Live.  Emily's school was going to see it at the same time and I got Preston in to go with the Youth Center to Medieval Times, so thought it would be cute to take Jacob and surprise Emily.  Jacob started to feel bad the day before the show - he is getting his first molar in and it was giving him a lot of pain.  He still wasn't 100% when the show time came, but he enjoyed it anyway.  He loves him some Sesame Street.  He especially liked the little light I got for him at the show.  I couldn't get to Emily before the show started - her class was late to arrive - so had to wait for the intermission to find her and surprise her.  She was so excited to see us.  Brought her over to sit with us for the rest of the show.  It was pretty cute watching her and watching Jacob.  They both loved the show, but reactions were so different.  Emily would scream when stuff would happen and Jacob would dance when they were singing songs.  Was really cute to watch them.  I am glad we went.

Thats about it for right now.  Probably won't post again until after our Disney Vacation.  Kids are really looking forward to that.
